Lauren
The lovely Lauren got in touch to enquire about my bespoke service to get a dress designed and made just for her. She had been struggling to find something that felt just right for her and so she decided the bespoke route would be the best way to go. With a history in underwear design it was an absolute pleasure working with and designing Lauren a completely unique dress and bringing her ideas to life.
Laurens dress was made in a beautiful sandwash ivory silk. It featured a wide neck and soft V front with a keyhole back. Lauren requested a beautiful long train and small covered buttons going all the way down the centre back to the edge of her hem. Her sleeves were fitted to the elbow and then fell to the floor finishing in a slight puddle train which was inspired by Laurens own mums wedding dress. To finish off her dress Lauren asked me to create a bespoke veil that would be the length of her wedding dress train and to be covered in hundreds of chiffon hand cut flowers, the result was breathtaking, I loved the effect of the petals fluttering in the breeze.
Lauren and Lee got married in the beautiful Peak District at Brosterfield farm with an outdoor ceremony and a Sperry Tent for the rest of the days celebrations. With a team of some of the best suppliers the midlands has to offer and Laurens eye for detail it was a truly beautiful day.
“Suzy couldn’t do enough for me when designing & making my dress. And with a degree in fashion design myself & a very capable sewer, I couldn’t find anyone else I would trust with making & designing my wedding dress. She gave me fitting after fitting which I asked for and nothing was a problem. She even brought my dress to me the morning of the wedding, steamed it all there and was on hand to help me get dressed. & as a personal gift she offered to hand embroidered the wedding date on my veil.”
